Dibrugarh University PG Entrance Test 2019
Dibrugarh University is going to conduct a Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET) for the admission into Master’s in Arts (MA), Master’s in Science (MSc) and Master’s in Commerce (MCom) under Dibrugarh University. Eligible and interested candidates are asked to submit their application though online portal for this entrance examination before the last date of application.
Online Applications are invited from the intending eligible candidates for appearing in the

Eligibility Criteria of DU PG Entrance 2019
Dibrugarh University’s online application process for Post Graduation couches is started, students who fulfilled below given criteria are able to fill online application for the admission in Dibrugarh University.
Dibrugarh University MA entrance exam 2019:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
Dibrugarh University MSc entrance exam 2019:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
Dibrugarh University MCom entrance exam 2019:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Speciality in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
Important Notes:-
- Candidates appearing in the Final Semester Examinations and waiting for results are also eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2019.
- Notification for other Post Graduate, Under Graduate, Diploma and Certificate Programmes are/ will be notified separately.
Application Fee of DUPGET 2019
The applicants shall be required to pay the Application Fee of Rs. 500/- only through the online payment gateway by using Debit (ATM) Card/Credit Card/ Internet Banking during the submission of form. No other mode of payment is accepted.

Master of Arts (MA) Courses: Anthropology, Assamese, Bodo, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology and Statistics
Master of Science (MSc) Courses: Anthropology, Applied Geology, Chemistry, Geography, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics
Master of Commerce (MCom) Courses: Finance and Marketing
DUPGET 2019 Exam Pattern
a) The DUPGET shall be of 100 Marks and of 2 (two) hours duration.
b) It shall be conducted in a single paper of the concerned subject containing 100 Objective
Type Multiple Choice questions carrying 1 (one) mark each.
c) The Question Paper shall be in English excluding the language subjects. However, the
question papers of the B.A. Programme shall also be set in Assamese.
d) There shall be a provision of negative marking of 0.25 mark for incorrect response to a
question.
e) The candidate shall be required to answer in the OMR Response Sheet and the evaluation
process shall be done by the automated electronically operated system.
f) The DUPGET score shall be valid for admission in the current academic session only.

DUPGET 2019 Selection procedure:
- 80% of the total seats in each subject under MA/M.Sc./ M.Com Programmes are reserved for the graduates of the affiliated/ permitted/ autonomous colleges/ institutes of Dibrugarh University.
- Remaining 20% of seats shall be filled up by the eligible candidates belonging to all recognized Universities including Dibrugarh University.
- For all candidates, appearing DUPGET, 2019 is mandatory.
- The Candidates securing the qualifying mark in the DUPGET, 2019 shall have to fill-up online application again for admission in the concerned Department/ Centre for Studies with requisite documents. This will be notified on the date of declaration of B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. Final Semester Examination results.
- The candidates who filled-up online applications for appearing the DUPGET 2019 and appeared in the DUPGET 2019 need NOT to pay any FEE while submitting their online application for admission with requisite documents. However, there shall be a cut-off mark for each subject to be eligible to apply for admission.
- Statutory Reservation and Relaxation Policy shall be followed as per the Government Rules. The Dibrugarh University Reservation and Relaxation Rules for Admission into Post Graduate, Under Graduate, Advanced Post Graduate Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma and Certificate Programmes shall also be applicable in selecting the eligible candidates under different non-statutory reservation categories.
